The Special Administrative Region Macau

Macau is a Special Administrative Region, commonly known as Macau or Macao. The city is next to Hongkong one of the two special administrative regions of China. Macau is inhabited by about 520,400 people.

Macau is located on the western side of the Pearl River Delta, bordering Guangdong province in the north and facing the South China Sea in the east and south.
